The popularity of futsal in Singapore has been increasing rapidly over the last decade and counting. With the rising demand for court time, a shortage of places to play has become a big constraint for the development of this sport and prevents those who want to play the game from getting the opportunity.

 

It is in this vein of recognising the need for making available a venue for the sport and more so in fulfilling the mission to provide the community a place to enhance sportsmanship and bonding to inculcate disciplined lifestyle, that The New Charis Mission (TNCM) has embarked on making it a dream come true.

TNCM under the leadership of Mr Don Wong as its Founder and Executive Director, has been actively working with youths to chart purpose and direction in their lives. Our TNCM Youth Mentors, many of whom are transformed ex-offenders, have been serving as programme trainers and counsellors to engage the young ones through various platforms.

Thus in 2019, CHARIS as one such key platform where these young ones can be engaged in a healthy and meaningful participation, was launched as a subsidiary of TNCM in its continuous effort to serve the community.
